Ppduck For Mac
Photo to Cartoon converts photographs into cartoons and animated cartoons. Use this program to illustrate your book, your website or to make custom coloring pages for your kids. Replace that cookie cut forum avatar by an actual cartoon of yourself.
You'll let people know what you look like without giving them your photo. Make cartoons of your friends, your dog, your house, your neighborhood and don't forget celebrities and politicians. Cartoons make fantastic gifts for friends and colleagues. They look great on T-shirts and mugs too. This program is fun and addictive. It is also intuitive and very easy to use.
You don't need any artistic skills, as no drawing is required. Photo to Cartoon uses a novel approach to image editing with a 'Click Me' approach. The program splits a photograph into solid color areas, like a mosaic. By clicking on the image, you can split or merge pieces of this mosaic, adding more details to the key areas and simplifying the background. Here is how it works. Just load a high quality high-resolution photo, set the overall level of detail in the image with two sliders and you are half-way done.
Click on the key areas of the image, such as a person, or a person's eyes to increase the level of detail. Click on the background pieces to merge them together. Replace colors by those you choose if needed. Depending on the level of detail you use and the amount of editing (splitting and merging pieces) you do, the resulting images can be as either as real-looking or as cartoon-like as you wish.

This guide will walk you through installing Duck Game for your Mac running OS X 10.11 (El Capitan.) IT WILL NOT WORK ON ANYTHING BELOW 10.11. This guide was also written to be as easy to follow as possible, but you should be able to open applications and navigate your system. You will be downloading multiple files in this guide, and the total download + install will be a few (10gb) in total. Unfortunatly, this cannot currently be shrunk, as Apple is mean. Finally, this guide will be continuously updated as new information comes about and things are changed. THIS GUIDE CURRENTLY HAS NO PICTURES!
Duck For Mac
I will hopefully be adding these in the near future. With that in mind, let us begin! The firrst thing we will need is an application called Xcode. This will be the largest of the downloads, (4.7 GB) and as such will take a while to acquire. To install:.
Open the Mac App Store. Search 'Xcode' (without quotes). Install the first result (the one made by Apple) Once Xcode has been downloaded and installed, open it. Xcode will want to download 30mb of files, so be patient. Once this has been downloaded, you can quit Xcode.
Next, we will install the command line tools. This basically downloads lots of commands for Terminal so you can develop applications and such. This is also a large download (1.7 GB), so it will also take a while.
To install:. Open Terminal (located in /Applications/Utilities). Type in 'xcode-select -install' (without quotes and two dashes before install). A message box will appear telling you that the command 'xcode-select' requires the command-line tools.
Click the 'Install' button. Let the download run The third application we are going to install is XQuartz. Download it from www.xquartz.org, and install it. We will also be installing a command-line utility called Homebrew.
If you have disabled System Integrity Protection, ignore this next bit, otherwise, read on. Shutdown your Mac. Turn it on while holding CMD-R. When the 'Recovery Mode' turns on, from the menubar, go Utilites - Terminal. Type in 'csrutil disable' (without quotes) and press enter.
If it asks you if you are sure, hit yes (or whatever). Restart your Mac and continue. To install (READ CAREFULLY):. brew.sh to visit the homebrew webpage. Copy the line of text underneath the 'Install Homebrew' header (/usr/bin/ruby -e.). Open Terminal, and paste that text in, and hit enter. The terminal will quickly show some lines of text, and then show a dialogue.

Read it and press enter to install. If it asks for your password, enter it (you won't be able to see that you're entering anything, but don't panic - this is normal). The terminal will scroll quickly with lots of text - this is Homebrew installing.
After a few minutes, the text will finish, so close Terminal. We are now going to install a cool piece of software called Wine. This program allowes you to run Windows programs on a Mac, but it will take some configuration, which we will go over in the next chapter. To install:. dl.winehq.org and download the 'Installer for 'Wine Staging' (at the time of writing, the current version is 1.9.6). Once the download has finished, run the Installer, and go through the steps.
Now, we are going to install a file called 'Winetricks'. This file basically allows you to install lots of basic applications required to run Duck Game. github.com and click the 'Dowload ZIP' button on the right-hand side. Open the downloaded file (winetricks-master) and open the folder 'src'. Open a new Finder window with CMD-N. In the new Finder window, do SHIFT-CMD-G, and in the box that appears, enter '/usr/bin' (without quotes). Copy 'winetricks' from the 'src' folder into the 'bin' folder, and enter password if required.
We are now going to configure Wine, so that we can run Duck Game. Open 'Wine Staging' (located in your Applications folder). This will open a Terminal window telling you that 'Wine is not an emulator'. First, type in 'winecfg' and hit enter. A window will appear telling you that Wine is being configured. If Wine asks you if you want to install a few different files, press 'No' or 'Cancel' to all. After a few seconds, a window should appear.
Down the bottom, change the Windows Version to Windows 7 and hit apply. Close the window. Back in the terminal, type in 'Winetricks corefonts' (without quotes) and hit return. This should only take a few seconds. Type in 'Winetricks -q dotnet452' (without quotes) and hit return. This will download a few files and insall them.
This will probably take quite a while. Type in 'Winetricks -q xna40' (without quotes) and hit return. Type in 'Winetricks -q dinput' (without quotes) and hit return.
We will now install Steam. to download the Steam Windows installer.
Once that is downloaded, make sure it is in your Downloads folder. In the Wine Terminal page, type in 'cd /Downloads' (without quotes) and hit enter. Now type in 'wine SteamSetup.exe' (without quotes) and hit enter. The console will show lots of text, and after a few seconds, the Steam application should launch.
Let Steam download all of its files, and then log in. A notification will pop up telling you that 'SteamWebHelper.exe has stopped working'. Just close it. Open your Library page. Press the 'Install Duck Game' button from the library. Once it has downloaded, press play! So there you have it - Duck Game on your Mac!
There are a few issues though:. Controllers (ie Xbox 360 controller) doesn't work - though you can use something like 'Joystick Mapper' (avaliable on the App Store) in conjunction with the github.com. Audio is a little bit glitchy - there is a little bit of an echo effect, but it's not really noticeable I hope that this guide has been helpful, and don't forget to like if this worked. Let me know in the comments below OR add me on Steam and send me a message if you're having any issues, and I'll try to sort your problems out. Also, let me know if anything changes / link goes dead etc.
